Ask Gina

Welcome to Gina’s New Question and Answer page.

When I started this site, I freely published my e-mail address and asked for comments and suggestions. I also told my visitors I would try to respond to requests for specific information. Well, I haven’t received any suggestions, but I am receiving requests for advice on a myriad of subjects including the Law of Attraction, suggested reading material, and dealing with life’s many issues.

This Free ‘Ask Gina’ Program is a service I am providing as a way to “Make your life better.” It is by giving that we are able to receive, so please take advantage of this opportunity to get free advice from someone who is living a life of Joy, Peace, and Prosperity.

You may be asking, “Why should I ‘Ask Gina’ for advice?” In addition to my background in psychology and experience as a teacher and counselor, I have also read and studied the works of Dr. Wayne Dyer, Earl Nightingale, Anthony Robbins, Brian Tracy, and many more. More importantly, I am living it. I am living Above Life’s Turmoil as a successful practitioner of the Law of Attraction.

My advice is only my opinion. But, I do have an excellent track record for giving good advice. Your answer will be given primarily from the life lessons I have learned and from my own personal experiences.

If you have a question about anything at all in your personal or professional life: Health, Wealth, Happiness, Family, Personal Relationships, or the Law of Attraction, I believe I can help you in finding the answer.

To submit a question, simply fill in your Name, State, and Question in the form below. Providing your e-mail address is optional, but may be included if you would also like to receive your answer by e-mail. Your e-mail address will never be published and is 100% secure. Please see my Privacy Notice.

Gina, I am relatively new to the concept of the Law of Attraction, but am definitely convinced that it works. I, too am living proof. It has changed my outlook and inlook about many topics. My question is concerning a co-worker and friend. She has been struggling with multiple issues over the past several months. She broke her wrist, her husband lost his job, is in the process of foreclosure on her house, has an adult son freeloading, and her father recently suffered a stroke and lives in another state. I have tried to be an encouragement to her, but she is so overwhelmed with these issues, that she says she can’t even try to see the positives. She knows she enables some of these behaviors in the family members, but is at a loss as to what to do. I don’t know if she’s a Christian or not, but she does forward Jesus e-mails to me. I can see her frustration and am not so sure I could dig out either. Help!

Inspiration: Your Ultimate Calling

Does the idea of living an inspired life appeal to you? Do you want to have more in your life? Do you want to know your calling?

Have you ever asked yourself “What is my purpose on this earth?” or “Why am I here?”

I just returned from a wonderful ten-day vacation and some much needed R&R. During this time, I picked up a copy of “Inspiration - Your Ultimate Calling” by . Dr. Dyer is one of my favorite authors and speakers, and I have several of his books and audio recordings.

Dr. Dyer is an internationally renowned author and speaker in the field of and I have learned much studying his teachings.

Here are some excerpts from the book:Dr. Wayne Dyer

I believe that being inspired means being in touch with your spiritual self. We are not physical beings living in a spiritual world; we are spiritual beings living in a physical world. Every person on earth has an immortal spirit: That part of a living being that exists before birth, dwells in the physical body during life, and exists after death as a separate being.

You came from Spirit, and to be inspired you must become more like where you came from. You must live so as to become more like God.

All our lives, we have been taught by our family, our community, the schools, and the media that we are what we accomplish in life. We were taught that failure to accomplish the life that ‘they’ saw for us meant that we should feel rejected. Furthermore, we’re taught that we are what others think of us, and if our reputation is stained, we are of even less value.

You have a calling back to this place of inspiration. It is working in your life right now. You should heed this call so you can come to know the joy and bliss that awaits you.
There is a voice in the Universe that calls to us to remember our purpose for being here in this world. It is trying to let us know that our being here has meaning. When we become fully awake to the Spirit within us, wonderful changes take place in our lives. We begin to have more energy, our creative juices flow, we are not judgmental or critical, we are more tolerant of others’ behavior and attitudes, and we are joyful and loving.

The reason I feel inspired isn’t because the world looks perfect. Rather, it’s the other way around: The reason the world looks perfect is because I’m in-Spirit (a person who chooses to live an inspired life). I’m able to stay in a state of gratitude from the moment I awake right up until I close my eyes…I’m reminded that staying in-Spirit is really
about staying in vibrational harmony.

When I’m living my life from this perspective of inspiration, my vibrational energy is more attuned to that of the creative energy of the Universe. Miracle seem to be ordinary
and limitations seem to be non-existant, and where the power of our Creator seem to roll right up and land at my feet.

What might your life begin to look like through a State of Inspiration?

“When you are inspired, dormant forces, faculties, and talents become alive, and you discover yourself to be a greater person by far than you ever dreamed
yourself to be” –Patanjali

How do we become more Inspired?

  • Choose to listen to your inner voice - Your Spirit voice. Invite our Spirit to participate in our daily lives, trusting ourselves to something greater than our physical being.
  • Begin to think in terms of miracles not only being possible, but actively working in your life.
  • Practice laughing at the importance you place on your everyday circumstances. View them from an eternal perspective and find yourself lightening that heavy load.

This book is much more spiritual than his earlier works I have read, and may be a bit of “too much new age spirituality” for some. Nevertheless, there is a lot of good reading and some good, practical lessons for getting “In-Spirit”. This book contains a good deal about his own personal journey to spiritualism and is probably a little repetitious in areas, but if you have previously read or heard Dr. Dyer, I’m sure you will enjoy it.

Do You Have PMS?

PMS

Every successful business has a mission statement. That mission statement tells the world what they will and will not do. Usually, their mission statement promises that “We will be helpful. We will stand behind our word. We will not knowingly harm any one. We will do this and we will do that. Our customers are the most important people, and if it doesn’t help people, we won’t do it.” The successful businesses live by their mission statement. Doesn’t that sound like the way you would like to live your life?

What is your mission statement? Do you really need one?

Yes! It is one of the most powerful things you can do. A will help you identify your core values and beliefs. How about visualizing your 80th birthday? Who would show up to celebrate with you? What would they say about you? How about your own funeral? Would friends and aquaintances fill the service giving praise to your life and being thankful you were a part of theirs?

Ask your self these questions:
1. Do I speak the truth?
2. Do I live my life consistent with my core values?
3. Do I operate with integrity?
4. Do I believe that my motives are good?
5. Is it my goal to be a positive influence in the lives of others?
7. Do I really like myself?

‘Let the first act of every morning be to make the following resolve for the day:
I shall not fear anyone on earth.
I shall fear only God.
I shall not bear ill toward anyone.
I shall not submit to injustice from anyone.
I shall conquer untruth by truth.
And in resisting untruth, I shall put up with all suffering’
Mahatma Gandhi.Ghandi

Mahatma Gandhi’s brief mission statement clearly highlights his beliefs and who he was as an individual. It had a specified time frame and undoubtedly states actions that he was willing to take to change the course of his life and the lives of others.

What are you most proud of? What have you accomplished in your life? Are you making any significant contribution? Are you the “you” you want to be?

Our personal mission statements can be very effective in all areas of our lives. Develop your own mission statement according to what you feel will result in an exciting and fulfilling life. Keep it in the front of your mind to provide you with motivation and inspiration.

Use this Personal Mission Statement Worksheet to get you started.

Because…It’s never too late to be who you might have been.
