Do you believe in the concept of luck? Is it just a matter of blind chance?

Why do some folks seem to have all the luck? Why does it seem, sometimes the luck goes to the most undeserving and uncaring self-serving people?

Maybe it’s our karma or fate. Maybe we get what we deserve. Maybe we get what we expect.

Merriam-Webster’s definition of luck:
1 a: a force that brings good fortune or adversity b: the events or circumstances that operate for or against an individual. 2. favoring chance

2. favoring chance:

Are there real elements of chance involved in luck? Absolutely. Chance events are like winning the lottery. They’re events over which we have no control, other than buying a ticket. They don’t consistently happen to the same person.

1. a force that brings good fortune or adversity b: the events or circumstances that operate for or against an individual.

The words “a force that brings” and “events that operate” describe a tangible energy
that is capable of controlling or influencing events.

But do you know you can take control of some of those events? You can control the force. You can “control” luck.

Controlling luck is a skill that requires the same type of effort needed to control other elements of your life. We all create our own luck by our personal beliefs and attitudes. We just need to develop the attitude of “If it’s going to be, it’s up to me.”

It is possible to create your own luck by having the right attitude and allowing the good things in life to happen to you. Don’t just wish things will come to you, make them come to you and other people will call you lucky. When people say “ Oh my gosh, he is so lucky”, they are seeing a person that has mastered the and knows how to walk in that law, and knows how to put themselves in a position to attract all the luck and prosperity and positive things that are out there.

Many of the things you think you’re having no influence over in your life are actually defined by the way you think. Lucky people expect good fortune. Lucky people are certain that the future will be bright. Over time, that expectation becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy because it helps lucky people persist in the face of failure and positively shapes their interactions with other people.

Lucky people employ various psychological techniques to cope with, and even thrive upon, the ill fortune that comes their way. For example, they spontaneously imagine how things could have been worse. They don’t dwell on the ill fortune, and they take control of the situation. They have the same life events as the unlucky person, but they look at them entirely differently.

Unlucky people believe they are just “unlucky” and they dwell on their ill fortune. These different ways of thinking are both unconscious and automatic.

If you are one of the “unlucky” ones that just never seem to catch a break, my suggestion is to learn to change your unconscious way of thinking. Learn to control your luck. Develop the attitude of “If it’s going to be, it’s up to me.”rabbit's foot
