Hello Susan,Question Mark

Thank you for submitting your question. Since you did not provide me with a lot of information, I am going to have to make some assumptions about your situation.

You indicate you do not have financial freedom, but you did not say you were in dire financial straights. Let me first assume you have some financial support and do not actually need to be employed to survive. Possibly, you are living from your savings or investments, but would love to be financially free. Free meaning no debt and living the lifestyle you would like to live. Freedom and personal liberty are some of the most precious things on earth, and some of the most rare.

You also indicated you like your situation because you have time, and are able to work on yourself. That is most certainly a worthy pastime. Hopefully, you are making progress in that area and becoming who and what we are here on this earth to be.

I am assuming here the ultimate question you are asking is, “How can I be financially free without being employed?”

My first questions would be, “What do you love to do?” and “Would you do this for free, without compensation?” “What service can you provide by simply doing what you love to do?” We are at our very best and we are happiest when we are engaged in work that we enjoy. This makes everything else in life wonderful and worthwhile. Work becomes more like an enjoyable hobby than a job. And we are most successful when our work helps, improves, or brings betterment to the lives of others.

I will use myself as the first example. For some time, I have had a desire to be a writer. I had a goal and I am using YourNeedToKnow to realize that goal. I am doing this without monetary compensation. While there are many things I could do with my web site to generate immediate income, I believe the money will follow my service. The greater the service I provide, the greater my compensation will eventually be. No one gets rich without enriching others.

A few other examples I can think of are professional athletes, golfers, fishermen and so many more that USED to do what they love without compensation, but now do it professionally. You might ask what service these people are providing. I would say they are providing competition for other professionals, they are providing entertainment for untold numbers of people, advertising and sales revenues for untold numbers of companies and corporations. The list could go on.

If you can do this, you will never have to “work” another day of your life.

I would suggest you take some time to get in touch with your dreams and goals. Discover what it is you love. These things may be tucked away in your subconscious mind because you don’t or didn’t believe you could accomplish them, or didn’t believe you deserved them. It’s OK if you don’t totally believe that you can have the life that you want. Just believe it a little bit for now.

Be choosy, therefore, what you set your heart upon. For if you want it strong enough, you will get it.

It is our duty as men and women to proceed as though limits to our abilities do not exist. We are collaborators in creation - Pierre Tielhard de Chardin

Once you have decided on what you really love to do, and how you can be of “service” doing it, set this as your goal and go for it! This is your purpose.

It will take dedication, commitment and creative thought, but of this you can be sure: Use the principles of goal setting and the Law of Attraction, fix your mind on what you want to do, visualize it, enjoy the prospect of it, and courageously set out toward it and you WILL be successful. You will become what you think about.
