Do You Have PMS?

PMS

Every successful business has a mission statement. That mission statement tells the world what they will and will not do. Usually, their mission statement promises that “We will be helpful. We will stand behind our word. We will not knowingly harm any one. We will do this and we will do that. Our customers are the most important people, and if it doesn’t help people, we won’t do it.” The successful businesses live by their mission statement. Doesn’t that sound like the way you would like to live your life?

What is your mission statement? Do you really need one?

Yes! It is one of the most powerful things you can do. A will help you identify your core values and beliefs. How about visualizing your 80th birthday? Who would show up to celebrate with you? What would they say about you? How about your own funeral? Would friends and aquaintances fill the service giving praise to your life and being thankful you were a part of theirs?

Ask your self these questions:
1. Do I speak the truth?
2. Do I live my life consistent with my core values?
3. Do I operate with integrity?
4. Do I believe that my motives are good?
5. Is it my goal to be a positive influence in the lives of others?
7. Do I really like myself?

‘Let the first act of every morning be to make the following resolve for the day:
I shall not fear anyone on earth.
I shall fear only God.
I shall not bear ill toward anyone.
I shall not submit to injustice from anyone.
I shall conquer untruth by truth.
And in resisting untruth, I shall put up with all suffering’
Mahatma Gandhi.Ghandi

Mahatma Gandhi’s brief mission statement clearly highlights his beliefs and who he was as an individual. It had a specified time frame and undoubtedly states actions that he was willing to take to change the course of his life and the lives of others.

What are you most proud of? What have you accomplished in your life? Are you making any significant contribution? Are you the “you” you want to be?

Our personal mission statements can be very effective in all areas of our lives. Develop your own mission statement according to what you feel will result in an exciting and fulfilling life. Keep it in the front of your mind to provide you with motivation and inspiration.

Use this Personal Mission Statement Worksheet to get you started.

Because…It’s never too late to be who you might have been.

Your Subconscious is a Bank

Bank Building

Your thoughts, your mental pictures, your moods, and your attitudes are all investments in your subconscious.  If you deposit into your subconscious mind negative thoughts such as resentment, procrastination, laziness, or self-condemnation, your subconscious mind will multiply these negatives exceedingly.

We need to make deposits in our subconscious bank of happiness, health, wealth, and joy. Again, our Bank of the Subconscious Mind will multiply these exceedingly. These deposits will pay high dividends and give you a great rate of return.

Making Deposits
Affirm that “Infinite power, strength, peace, wisdom and joy are mine now. I am going to mentally dig deep within myself and draw out some marvelous ideas to better serve mankind and greater accomplishment for myself. I know I have inner resources, powers, qualities, and abilities that remain untapped. The Infinite Intelligence reveals them to me now as I consciously dig into the storehouse within me.”

Deposit these ideas into your personal subconscious bank and experience marvelous, creative ideas coming to you from your gold mine within. You will be amazed at how the new ideas that come to you can be turned to wealth. Dollar Sign

Wealth and poverty both have their origins in your own mind. You must come to a clear decision that you intend to be wealthy and successful. Wealth is not a matter of chance, luck or coincidence.

The genius is within you. When you are in tune to the wisdom and intelligence of your subconscious mind, the genius in you will be revealed. The Infinite Intelligence in your bank can solve all your problems, give you the right answers, and leave you wealthy, healthy and wise.

The only chance you have is the chance you make for yourself. Make yours today.

Why the Law of Attraction Doesn’t Work - Part III

In Part I and II of this series, I explained that we had Limiting Beliefs about the  Law of Attraction and about ourselves and that we need to eliminate or change these beliefs.

The cause of any limitation or any lack in our world is a belief.  And our belief systems are more powerful than our thoughts.  Our thoughts come from the conscious part of our brain, of which we utilize about 10%.  However, our limiting beliefs reside in our subconscious mind.  Since our subconscious mind makes up about 90% of our total brain power, our unconscious beliefs override and supersede the conscious workings of our minds with ease.

In order for any change to occur in our lives, we must make a change in our beliefs.  We either have our minds working for us or against us.

In this case, we need to believe in the Law of Attraction and we need to believe that our ideal life is possible, or the Law of Attraction can never work for us.

So, how do we eliminate or change these limiting beliefs?

Volumes have been written and taught on the subject of eliminating limiting beliefs.  Listed below are some of the most popular techniques that produce great results for many people.

1. Affirmations
2. Meditation
3. Reframing
4. Byron Katie Method
5. The Sedona Method
6. EFT
7. Hypnosis

Affirmations

This self–directed practice is very effective in the manifestation process, but many of us need to combine this with other techniques when we just don’t believe in something.  This technique works best for those who already have a certain amount of belief in the and for those who are more in touch with their Spiritual self.  In other words, those that have asked themselves the questions such as “Why am I here?” or “What is my purpose on this earth?”  Those who believe in miracles and of course, those who believe in God or a higher intelligence.

There are many people who fully believe in the sayings “What goes around comes around” and “What you sow is what you reap.”  Both perfect examples of the , but these same people refuse to believe in the Laws of the Universe including the Law of Attraction.  The Universe works on the Law of Attraction!

The desired result when using affirmations is to condition your subconscious mind into knowing a certain thing is true.  A certain thing that you believe is not true.

This is where we must be careful and make sure we are using affirmations that we have a genuine desire to believe.  If you say an affirmation you don’t believe, saying it repeatedly will not make you believe it. Actually, this repetition can build up greater resistance to believing it.  We must be open to the possibility that we may be incorrect in our non-belief.  We must be open to the possibility that there may be much more to our life here on earth than we have been taught or exposed to.

One way to help us with affirmations, is to read stories and testimonies of other people who have experienced the changes we seek.  This helps to inspire us and motivate us to continue when our conscious mind says otherwise.

Whether you think you can or you think you can’t,,,you’re right - Henry Ford

Another way is proof.  Let’s face it, sometimes we need proof.  And not someone else’s proof but our own.

I have found an excellent way to prove to ourselves the power of affirmations:  For most of us, many times a day we hear the question, “How are you?” Either by friends, co-workers, bank tellers, cashiers, or strangers on the street.  The popular response given by the majority is a complaint.  Isn’t this true?  Don’t people like to tell of their misfortunes, aches and pains, and every little problem under the sun?  What do you say?

My standard responses are, “I am absolutely wonderful” or “I am blessed” or “I am fabulous, thank you.”  And I say this with a smile on my face because I know it is true.  I learned a long time ago the power of this small affirmation and have witnessed the same changes for many others.  You will begin to feel wonderful and blessed and fabulous.  Proof positive.  Not to mention how you may make the other person feel.

We can develop our beliefs and faith.  Our mental strength is developed the same way as our physical strength, by exercise.  It may be a little difficult at first, but gets easier each time.  We do it again and again and it becomes a mental habit.  Pretty soon it becomes automatic and we cannot think otherwise.  We are now positive of what we think.

Know that you can be what you will to be. There is no doubt about it….to be continued
